Spyware started as an irritant at first. Cookies and small files left behind on your system from a visit to a web page, these bits of code would report your surfing habits back to ad companies. This has grown to include browser hijacks, and Malware. The worst case is the Trojan which hides and reports your passwords and banking info to people who given a chance will clean you out.
A truly Clean Machine is scanned and purged of worms, Trojans, Malware and Spyware.
We really mean it when we say a Clean Machine lasts. Dust and dirt are an enemy to sound running computers. Your computer's fans are continually bringing room air in to try to keep the machine running at and acceptable temperature. The cooler the computer is, the better it operates. Unfortunately the air sucked in to provide the cooling, also contains dust, spores, pollen, and in some cases, insects. As this foreign matter is deposited on the computers components it, impairs the ability of the components to shed heat. A hotter system has a shorter life. If allowed to build up to the point where it impairs the exhaust and CPU fans, the machine will begin to experience spurious reboots and freeze-ups. Periodically cleaning the system can make for a longer trouble free life for the PC, and the user.
Moore's Law (Gordon Moore 1965) stated that processor capacity would double every 18-24 months or that the price of existing capacity would halve in the same time period. This rule has remained roughly true for the last 35 years.
The real drive behind the constant change is the user. As the user has requested that PCs have more features, and be easier to use, the software has grown in size and complexity. To allow the larger programs to run at an acceptable level of speed, the hardware must become more powerful. The level of innovation is also accelerated by the amount of competition in the computer industry. The computer industry is a very crowded place where the next new idea could be a breakout winner for the company that brings it to market.
This constant revolution in information systems can be a bit disconcerting but it is also tremendously exciting, allowing small business to engage in areas of business activity that were not possible 10 years ago.
There is no best Internet Provider. The real question is "Who is the best internet provider for my situation?". The answer is dependent on how you plan use the net, your physical location, and your budget.
The equipment needed for your enterprise is primarily driven by the software you plan to run on the computer and the growth you expect to encounter over the life of the machine. The software (application programs) to run are driven by your business needs.
A graphics intensive user (CAD/CAM, Graphics Design, Video Production) will require a much more robust machine than the office clerk who needs word processing and light accounting.
Clean Machine can help assess those requirements and ensure a good fit.
Leasing has some distinct advantages to the business user.
This must be balanced against the cost of the money. When interest rates are low we recommend leasing quite strongly. When interest rates rise the benefits begin to diminish in the face of the higher cost. In all cases we strongly recommend discussing the possibility with your accountant.
